Selenium (Se) is a chemical element with atomic number 34. There are multiple stable selenium isotopes, but ⁸⁰Se (34 protons, 46 neutrons) is the most common one.

Selenium has a wide variety of applications. The largest one is in glass production, but two other notable uses of selenium are in fertilizers and in lithium batteries.
